Georgie
6
Year Old Male Rough Coat
Georgie was named after the nursery rhyme "Georgie Porgie. He is a beautiful, cream colored, saint bernard that has had difficulty finding his "FOREVER" home by no fault of his own. He looks like a giant teddy bear and loves all people, especially children. He also gets along with every type of animal and has the sweetest temperment you could wish for.
Georgie has a split nose that is a birth defect, but does not affect his health whatsoever. He is a VELCRO dog and wants to be by your side at all times. He will nudge you with his nose or tap you with his paw if you are not petting him, and while he is frisky and likes to play he also likes his belly rubs.
Georgie's family hated to give him up. They had him for 2 yrs and were heartbroken when they found out that one of their children had acquired severe allergies due to pet dander.
He will only be placed with someone who is home full time or who can take him to work. Even though he likes other animals he thrives on human companionship and we are going to be very picky about Georgie's FOREVER home. Dear Judy,
Here are a couple of pictures of Georgie that I thought you might like.
One is Georgie wearing his keg. We had it made especially for him to wear when he visited the hospitals. We were disappointed in how heavy it was and he didn't like it so he only wore it once, to get this picture taken. Now it is in my bookcase.
Another one is Georgie during a thunderstorm. He was so afraid that we gave him tranquillizers when we were having a thunderstorm. He wasn't allowed on our bed but he climbed in bed anyway and got all huddled up. Poor baby!
The last one is one of Georgie's favorite poses. He liked to cool his tummy or he wanted his tummy rubbed. He's upside down.
